However, in many cases, such as for the mouse and keyboards, the driver device is preloaded in the operating system of the computer.However, for the sound and video card, you may have to pull out the disk installer or the mother board disk. This is the case when the motherboard contains the sound card and the video card. If that is not the case, you have to purchase the card separately and the drivers are saved in the disk that comes along the purchase. But, everything about the device drivers is not that simple. Often, your computers encounter accidents that lead to the malfunctioning of the computers as well as other problems. In such situation, the drivers can be a way to solve the problem. As a quick fix you can disable and then enable the drivers to get rid of the problem. If that fails to settle the issue, simply uninstall the driver and then reinstall it once again. You may still not be able to fix the problem. This is when you need to look for an update in the internet. If there is an update available, install the update and that will fix it. Otherwise, call the resident technicians and verify the driver.
